About Creative Front

Who runs Creative Front?

The Creative Front network is supported by Anglia Ruskin University who house the activity and staff. We report to a Steering Group, made up of funders, and representatives of our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and Founder Members, to ensure that all of our activity meets our members needs.

How is Creative Front funded?

Creative Front has been given seed funding from a number of partners including Cambridge Horizons, Cambridge County Council, HEFCE Economic Investment Fund, EEDA and Anglia Ruskin University but is designed to be self sufficient through membership contributions.

About SIGs (Special Interest Groups)

What are SIGs?

Creative Front supports a number of SIGs that reflect the specific needs and agendas of the creative industries in Cambridgeshire – these might be specific to a sub-sector or a cross-discipline business agenda. Members may join as many SIGs as they’re interested in, exchanging views and joining the debate affecting their industry at events and via social networking. If you’d like to develop a new SIG, please contact us info@creativefront.org.

I’m not sure if I’m already a member of a SIG?

Creative Front’s SIGs are currently run by local sub-sector networks: CaMedia, Campus, Cambridge Design Collective, Cambridge Refresh, Games Eden and Wired. If you are already a member of one of these sub-sector networks you’re eligible for 12 months free membership of Creative Front. Please go straight to registration.

I’m a member of CaMedia. What is CaMedia’s relationship with Creative Front?

During the setting up of Creative Front, several local sub-sector networks were invited to sit under the umbrella of Creative Front and run a SIG (Special Interest Group) relevant to the interests of its membership. Creative Front supports the SIGs with marketing, PR and event management.

Registration

I’d like to register but is registration only open to SIGs?

No. The Creative Front website went live in March 2011 but our payment system isn’t quite ready, so we’re initially taking registrations from members of our Special Interest Group (SIG). Other groups (companies, freelancers, charities and not-for-profit organisations) can register free of charge during March until the payment system is installed in April.  Please email members@creativefront.org if you have any queries or problems with registering.

I’ve already registered and I’d like to join a SIG, how do I do it?

Log in to the website. On the left-hand side you’ll see ‘Your profile’, click on 'Edit your account profile'. Scroll to the bottom and opt-in to the SIGs you're interested in. Click the 'Change details' button to save.

I’ve registered but I want to add more information to my creative profile.

Log in to the website. On the left-hand side you’ll see ‘Your profile’, click on ‘View your directory’ to view and edit your creative profile.

I’m having difficulties registering and/or creating my creative profile.

Please email members@creativefront.org and we’ll help you get started.
