AccessArt Village Project

Published: 12th February 2016.

In 2016 AccessArt launched the AccessArt Village Project - our most ambitious participatory project to date! We are now looking for potential hosts who might be willing to exhibit the AccessArt Village.

Can YOU help us?

You can find out more about the AccessArt Village Project here. So far we have had a great reception from the AccessArt audience, with lots of schools and arts organisations (and individuals) pledging to take part. The project will run for the whole of 2016.

Participants will submit a sewn artwork of their house. The artworks will then be brought together into a single textile-based artwork by artists working for AccessArt. All the houses will be combined to create a multicultural “Village” which represents the diversity and creativity of the AccessArt audience.

Would you like to exhibit the artwork?

Of course until we start to receive the sewn squares we cannot know what the artwork will be like, or how big it will be - but we’re sure it will be amazing!

We are now looking for potential partners who might be interested in displaying the AccessArt Village during 2017.

Please get in touch if you are a gallery, school, museum, library, or arts centre and you think you might be interested in exhibiting the artwork for a period of time.

Thank you very much for helping us - we’re sure the AccessArt Village will be a very special project!

The AccessArt Village Project is supported by Appletons Wools.
