Another Creative Mix for the Birdfair!

Published: 25th March 2011.

It’s all systems go for The Creative Mix, based in the Cambridgeshire village of Little Gransden, as once again they start work on the suite of publicity and display material for the British Birdwatching Fair, held annually in August. Commenting on the contract, awarded for the fifth year in succession, Barry Tucker, project manager for The Creative Mix, said, “We are delighted to be working again with the Birdfair team. Over the years we have built up an excellent working relationship with organisers Martin Davies of the RSPB and Tim Appleton of Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust, as well as the Birdfair office. At The Creative Mix we are all keen conservationists and birdwatchers, so it is particularly satisfying that this event raises a large amount of money to fund international bird conservation projects. Although we have worked on this for several years now, we are constantly aware of the need for a fresh look and new approaches.”

The Birdfair brings into play all The Creative Mix’s skills, from graphic design and typesetting, editorial and proofreading, and photography, to produce advertisements, posters, car stickers and other merchandise such as mugs and T shirts and a full-colour programme.

Thousands of birdwatchers, conservationists and eco-tourists visit the Birdfair each year. Held at Rutland Water in August, the Birdfair has proved the inspiration for similar events worldwide, where birders can try out new binoculars and cameras, buy the latest books and gear, and discuss wildlife holidays with travel companies and tour operators.

The Creative Mix is a team of creative professionals whose aim is to help make effective communications, leaving clients free to concentrate on their core business.

Birdfair 2011 is held at Rutland Water on 19th, 20th and 21st August.
