Brains Eden 2013 Gaming Festival

Cambridge is a hotbed for technological advancement and is host to a world leading digital creative hub which has grown in support of historic local hardware initiatives. A good number of world-renowned games development companies and over a thousand games industry professionals are employed in Cambridge.

Conceived by Games Eden, Cambridge's games development network and produced by Creative Front Cambridgeshire, this vibrant festival is fully supported and funded by industry leaders such as ARM, Sony Guerrilla Cambridge, PlayStation First, Frontier and Jagex.

“Brains Eden not only sparks debate between industry and academia but also celebrates the developers of the future and the ground breaking work of the Cambridge games development community.” Clare Denham, Manager, Creative Front

All photos from the event will be posted on Creative Front Facebook page. And we'll be posting up links to some of the games created over the weekend soon.

Thank you to all sponsors and supporters of Brains Eden 2013, industry mentors and Games Jam faciltator Popleaf, our technical team and event staff. But most of all, thanks to the 150 students who took part, without you this would not have been possible.

The judges all agreed the level of games produced this year was outstanding and once again, the students work has improved year on year. Given the standard, the first round of judges had to make some tough decisions as they shortlisted 6 teams out of the 31 entrants. The chosen 6 games then went forward to be played by the elite judges.
