Huge amounts of money are invested in innovations yet there is estimated to be about a 10% success rate for these new ideas. Companies are increasingly looking to leverage open innovation, cross-discipline innovation and interdisciplinary expertise to gain access to new ideas and new technologies. In this way, companies can maintain competitive edge; keep pace with today’s evolving markets and changing customer demand. The Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning, part of the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, runs an intensive, one week programme every summer for corporate innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs aimed at fast-tracking technology innovations business ideas. In the Centre’s blog, Yupar Myint, Programme Director, talks about why companies need to unlock entrepreneurial skills and create an innovative culture .
