Google launches a collection of 42 online exhibitions
Published: 15th November 2012.
The Google Cultural Institute was established in 2010 with a simple mission – to ‘help preserve and promote culture online’. By launching this exciting new platform, cultural institutions are provided with the tools to bring their collections to a truly global audience.
The collection of 42 exhibitions so far covers a range of 20th and 21st century topics ranging from the holocaust to Queen Elizabeth II's coronation, and is heavily focused on the struggle for civil rights in South Africa. Google aims to progressively open up the platform to more and more partners. If you are a cultural organisation and would like to get involved, simply complete this online form to register your interest.
