Calling all entrepreneurs and creative thinkers to The Little Pitch 2014

If you are a current undergraduate or postgraduate student at Anglia Ruskin University don’t miss this opportunity to share your business ideas for the chance to win monthly prizes of £140.

Run by the Centre for Enterprise Development and Research (CEDAR), The Little Pitch is an ideas generation competition to help spread and embed an entrepreneurial culture among all students studying at Anglia Ruskin University.

We want to find passionate entrepreneurial students with exciting, imaginative and brilliant business ideas and give them the chance to win funding, publicity and help to move from business idea to business concept and business plan.

To enter the competition all you need to do is think-up a great idea for a new business and then submit this, in 140 characters or less (like a tweet) to The Little Pitch website (www.thelittlepitch.co.uk) using the format ‘The ONLY xxxx that xxxx for xxxx’

The competition has already launched and will run in three 1-month blocks during the first semester, from 1st October to 19th December 2014. At the end of each month, two ideas – one chosen by popular vote and the other chosen by an expert entrepreneur-in-residence -receive a prize of £140 and a Little Pitch t-shirt with a further three runners-up, also chosen by the entrepreneur-in-residence, winning a Little Pitch t-shirt.

Now in its third year, the past two editions have had 396 entries and have allocated a total of £1,680 to our students. So what are you waiting for? Click on the following link to find out how to enter The Little Pitch: http://thelittlepitch.co.uk/how-to-enter/

In addition to encouraging students to come up with inspiring ideas, the competition provides a springboard to The Big Pitch which takes place in semester 2. This pitching competition, with £18,000 in seed funding available, is proud to be the UK's first student enterprise competition to use video pitching and interactive online voting.
