Published: 30th June 2011.

ARU art students have established a new temporary art gallery on Regent Street in Cambridge. Niche is a former nightclub and after two weeks of intense cleaning, painting and airing has now been transformed into a unique art space.

The premises has been secured for an eight week period and is being co-ordinated by Cambridge School of Art Offsite and Changing Spaces. For this particular project BA (Hons) Fine Art students have collaborated with Carter Jonas property agents, Downing College and Cambridge City Council to present work over the next couple of months. They will be showing and changing schedule of films, paintings and installation work, with some themed exhibitions along the way.

Niche is on 90-92 Regent Street, Cambridge (CB2 1DP) and will be open Tuesday - Saturday, 11am – 6pm.

There is a private view on Friday 5th July at 5pm - 8pm to which all ARU students and staff are welcome.
