Call for Submissions - Thurrock International Film Festival

The Thurrock International Film Festival is becoming one of the UK's fastest growing short film festival. Founded in 2012 by Natalie Williams and Benjamin Scarbrook, their aim is to create a festival that would not only entertain, but also educate , whilst giving filmmakers a platform to showcase their work. 

 

The short film competition is open to anyone of any age, from any country.  So long as the film is under 15 minutes and adheres to the submission guidelines anyone can enter! Every film entered is viewed by the organisers to whittle them down to the official screening selection, from there a select few are nominated and sent off to the celebrity judges.  The winning filmmakers are rewarded at an award ceremony at the climax of the festival.  

The competition comprises of seven catagories;                                                               

-Fiction

-Documentary 

-Animation 

-Student 

-Music Video 

-International 

-Under 18 

Throughout the week of the festival there are many public events and workshops to attend.  Alongside the short film screenings are several classic feature films, films previously shown include Singin' In The Rain, Dirty Dancing, Independence Day, Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade, The Sound of Music and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.  

All entries close 1st June 2014 

Regular entries £10.00, residents of Thurrock £5.00, Under 18's and students £5.00
